Nomad journey
December 2025 I launched my vessel a 2018 Mitsubishi outlander PHEV and went off to the desert to make some new work and clear my head. This is the culmination of the work I have been creating thus far.

BIO
Jen Grabe was born in Washington DC and attended art school there before moving to Saint Augustine, Florida to finish her B.A. in fine arts in 2003 .
Jen Grabe is an Avant-garde artist whose work explores the tension between form and emotion. Working primarily in stone and oils she creates abstract figurative pieces that emerge from the rhythms of everyday life.
She has retired from teaching ESL and art since 2020.
She is a digital nomad whose home base is Dallas, TX.
WORKS
Jen’s personal work and commissions are carried out in a variety of media. Her latest project is a limestone torso piece entitled “survivor”.
Earlier commissions include a painting entitled “the little painting”, which received honourable mention at a juried show in Ormond Beach, Florida.
Another commission is a composite marble piece entitled, “caryatid union” sold to an art collector in Saint Augustine ,Florida.
Numerous bronzes have been sold from her “power exchange “collection .
During the last several years Jen has directed her energies primarily to oil paintings, pastel drawings, and watercolours. She has travelled to South Korea where she created works and now works out of her mobile studio with her dog Sorin.
